CableLabs has implemented the Common Code Community (C3) as a scalable and reusable community source infrastructure for the industry.  Essential elements of the C3 program include the IT infrastructure, development tools, repositories, access control, recommended best practices, modular licensing, and outreach to other communities and standards.  Importantly, C3 has a flexible governance model, allowing different options for licensing and intellectual property management as appropriate for each project.
