The software in the TruView (EYES and EARS) project was developed as part of the OpenCable initiatives as a set of tools to assist cable operators in the successful deployment of the sophisticated 2-way infrastructure used to load and initialize OpenCable middleware and applications.  This software was built and installed on set-top boxes specifically configured for use as diagnostic terminals.  The software was originally developed by Comcast and CableLabs and targeted for commercial sale. Now we're bringing it into an open source model to promote its use in next generation cable systems.  Follow the links below to read about the Project Charter and Participation Agreement.
